1
What services to home care agencies provide?
Home care agencies provide non-medical care via expertly trained caregivers. These caregivers assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, grooming, transferring and ambulating and dressing and services such as light housekeeping, nutritious meal preparation, transportation to appointments and meaningful companionship.
2Do you offer the same services to every client?
We encourage you to contact Home Care Assistance in Oakland to speak with our extremely helpful care managers to learn more about creating a personalized and customized care plan for you or your loved one. Each client is provided the care necessary to meet his or her specific needs and careful oversight by our dedicated care managers, who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensures that clients are receiving the care that they need to thrive. With a flat rate, our fees do not increase should the care needs of the client increase.
3Can I read testimonials from clients?
Yes! We encourage you to read what the clients with whom we have had the privilege of working have to say about us. From being called "a total blessing" and consistently being praised for the "outstanding job" that our caregivers do, we love to hear from our clients and their families and we hope that you will be contacting us to share your positive experiences in the near future too!

What is live-in care?
For people who are looking for a comprehensive alternative to any type of facility in the Bay Area, or prefer the comfort and safety of round-the-clock monitoring and care, we offer 24/7 live-in care. A live-in caregiver comes to the senior's home and stays around the clock. With live-in care, a caregiver is always watching over the senior and is ready to assist in all activities of daily living.
Live-in care does not mean that the caregiver moves into the senior's home. Caregivers must maintain a separate residence and are not allowed to use the personal property, such as the telephone or car, of the senior. Caregivers stay in the home only for the duration of their assigned shift. They may not have visitors nor invite family to the home while they are working. For seniors who need continuous, 24-hour monitoring or assistance 7 days a week, one caregiver covers for 4 days and second caregiver covers for 3 days.
5Do you only provide services at home?
Home Care Assistance is the Preferred Provider for many leading assisted living and retirement communities and leading hospitals throughout the Oakland-Berkeley and greater Bay Area. We commonly send caregivers to hospital and assisted living facilities to provide the additional support than an older adult may need to promote optimal quality of life.
